Come join us for a day on the lake!
Ice Dive Class - Sat. 2/11
Actual Diving - the following weekend (see below)
Why do people want to ice dive and what is the attraction?
When a lake is covered with ice, the ice limits the water's movement. This creates an unbelieveably clear underwater environment that is pretty cool to see.
If you aren't interested in ice diving, feel free to come and help out! We could always use line tenders and grill people :) Just let us know to expect you! Snowmobiles and ATV's are much appreciated!
Ice diving is very very safe. You are teathered (via a blue harness and rope) to a person standing on the surface. You communicate by a series of pulls and tugs on the rope attached to you.
A day on the lake consists of home made chilli and grilled treats, hot chocolate and lots of fun! People from all around the lake ride up and stop for a chat. It's a day that we look forward to.

Those that are already Ice Diving Certified are more than welcome to come lend a hand and go for a dive! We ask you respect the safety guidelines of ice diving. Just let us know if you're coming so we have plenty of supplies for you!!
