A little about my decision behind the Manthiri:

As you know, I always travel to destinations to find the best experience possible before I book a trip.

I've been to the Maldives three times to find the perfect experience and I can tell you it's on the Manthiri because it is a Maldivian owned boat and can travel anywhere in the Maldives to give us everything we are looking for.  The other liveaboard boats are restricted to where they can go.

The experience I had  was simply incredible and I wanted to re-create it for you.  I chose the route and have finally nailed down a FANTASTIC trip to share with you!!

Putting a Maldives experience into words is the hardest thing to do, so I'll start by telling you what you'll see...

Jerasic Park style islands peep up out of the ocean by only two meters, stretching seamlessly into an underwater paradise of wildlife mourished by the Indian Monsoon current.

Crystal clear waters with MANTAS, WHALE SHARKS, HAMMER HEADS and REEF SHARKS, not to mention the brilliant flatworms, different types of octopus and nudibranchs (to name just a few) who hide out in the lush gardens of coral.  These are truly world-class dive sites (not kidding), so grab your camera and  come join us on this spectacular trip!!

This is the Manthiri, we eat, sleep and hang out on this vessle.  Below is the Donhi, where we dive off.  Our equipment remains on the Donhi and the compressor is located here for filling tanks.

Package Details -

This package pricing includes:

• 10 Days aboard the Manthiri
• 3 Daily meals -  breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks
• Water, juices, tea, coffee.
• All diving, weights, tanks and air
• Airport transfers
• Departure tax

Not included in this package:

• One night's stay at a hotel (should we need it)
• Resort stay after the Manthiri
• Flights to/from Male (Emirates Air from Boston to Male)
• Soft drinks and beer ($4+16% tax, bottle of wine is $30 + 16% tax)
• All gratuities
• Gov't green tax (est $66/ person) - payable upon arrival
• Fuel surgharge $175 per person collected at the end of trip (this is not included in the cost of the trip because it MAY be lifted by our trip time).
• nitrox $185 for the trip.
• Marahaba Lounge in Dubai Airport (about $60) - is a secure area and includes:  comfortable charis, food buffet, all drinks, WiFi, TV and clean bathrooms (you can also rent shower and tent to sleep in).  Much worth the price!
• DAN medical & trip insurnace mandatory.

Pricing - 

     The price of the boat is

     $5225. per person cash.

     $5430. per person credit card.

Airfare should be about $1,000. per person (will know better when booking opens up, but this is a ballpark price).

A $1,500pp* deposit reserves your spot!  Contact us if you are at all interested in this trip!  There is a payment schedule for this trip to make this easier on you.  I will let you know when you sign up.

All funds collected are non-refundable, but transferrable should you find another traveler to take your place.

Space is limited - the boat only has 6 staterooms and can only hold 12 people. 10 spots have been sold, only 1 stateroom remains!

Extended stay option!  If you'd like to extend your stay until the 30th and stay at a resort with us, we are staying at the Kurumba Resort, a 10 min. speed boat ride from where the Manthiri drops us off (Airport Island). This is a fantastic resort to cap off our adventures!   I'm negotiating a full board stay as we speak and will update this with information within a day or two.
